The “One Lovely Blog” Award nominations are chosen by fellow bloggers for those newer or up-and-coming bloggers. The goal is to help give recognition and to also help the new blogger reach more viewers. It also recognizes blogs that are considered to be “lovely” by the fellow-blogger who chose them. This award acknowledges bloggers who share their story or thoughts in a beautiful manner to connect with their viewers and followers. In order to “accept” the award the nominated blogger must follow several guidelines:
- Thank and link back to the person who nominated you for the award.
- List the Rules and Display the One Lovely Blog Award logo to your post and/or blog.
- Share 7 facts/or things about yourself.
- Nominate around 15 other bloggers and let them know about the award
- Follow the blogger who nominated you (if not already)
A special and heartwarming thanks to Jenifer of http://hopefirefliesandfairytales.wordpress.com for the nomination. It’s still incredulous to me that someone is actually reading the words that I’m putting out here, and then to learn that they may even like it?! Seriously, it’s almost more than my brain can process! But I’m loving this version of the blogger’s “pay it forward” because, for whatever reason, I don’t always seem to get the best returns when just doing random blog searches with the WordPress reader. Even though I have entered in specific tags that I would think would show me blogs that share my interests and topics, I seem to still always see only weird posts that resemble advertising more than anything else. It’s either that or blogs that already have tens of thousands of followers, and which are all completely deserving of their followings and definitely worth the read, but it still leaves me wondering, “where are the bloggers like me that just started a short time ago and only have a smattering of followers?” Those are the blogs that I especially love coming across and reading. Clicking through the blogroll lists other nominees of this award have compiled has been an exciting, humorous, entertaining, and profound endeavor thus far.
I have to bend the rules just a bit and hold off at this time on listing the interesting facts about myself because I only have a 35 minute window in which to write today, and I really need to use this time instead to work on the new blogpost idea that has been pounding around in my brain all night. As soon as I started reading this, I thought “I would nominate her”. I was shocked to see that you nominated me! I have only written a few posts but what an outlet! I was so happy to have found your blog! We seem to have a lot in common and I love your writing style. I have a freelance job today that will keep me busy until this evening but I love this pay it forward idea and I will continue it at my first opportunity. Thanks again 🙂
